Chapter 655 - 655: Love My Husband
Chapter 655 - 655: Love My Husband
Now, seeing Su Jiyai finally standing in front of her, Xiao Wu was filled with dread.'Was Su Jiyai hiding all along? Was she waiting for me to make a move so she could take revenge?' she thought, her heart pounding.
But then again, if that was the case, Su Jiyai was truly strange. She had been flirting with Qin Feng for a long time, so why now?
Why had Su Jiyai suddenly decided to take revenge?
Xiao Wu had so many thoughts spinning in her mind, but she didn't let any of them show on her face.
Keeping her expression calm, she slowly stood up, patted the dust off her clothes, and looked at Su Jiyai with an accusing tone.
"Miss Su Jiyai has finally remembered that she has a family," Xiao Wu said coldly.
Hearing those words, Su Jiyai raised an eyebrow, then turned to her husband. "From what I know," she said calmly, "You aren't related to me by blood. Not to me, not to Qin Feng either. So tell me, by what right are you lecturing me about family?"
Xiao Wu's face immediately turned red. She pointed a trembling finger at Su Jiyai and said angrily,
"You're being unreasonable! I was just saying those words on your behalf!"
Su Jiyai crossed her arms. "I don't need to hear a lecture from a woman who just tried to seduce my man right in front of my eyes."
Hearing that, Xiao Wu's face turned even redder. Her eyes widened in horror as she noticed that more than ten people had gathered around them.
A small crowd had formed, and every one of them was looking at Xiao Wu with disgust and disdain.
Flustered, Xiao Wu raised her voice.
"I wasn't seducing Qin Feng! I was just worried about him! I was rushing for a hug, that's all! Is that too much? I'm his friend! Can't a friend hug another friend? How can you be so unreasonable?"
Su Jiyai stared at her, speechless for a moment. Then she turned to Qin Feng and asked, "Do I have the right to kick someone out of my state?"
Qin Feng nodded seriously.
"Yes. Liu Feng already expected something like this might happen one day. He gave you the authority. If someone is unpleasant to your eyes, you can immediately have them removed."
Su Jiyai's lips curled into a calm smile. She turned to Xiao Wu, whose face had gone completely pale.
"Then I find this woman very unpleasant to my eyes," she said softly. "Let's kick her out."
Qin Feng nodded. "I'll call the guards right now."
As he pulled out his phone, Xiao Wu dropped to her knees.
"Wait! Please don't kick me out! I was wrong! I know it! Please, Su Jiyai, don't do this! I have a family... they depend on me!"
Su Jiyai tilted her head. "Family? What kind of family?"
Xiao Wu hesitated, then whispered, "I have a son and a daughter…"
Su Jiyai nodded slowly. "Oh? Then tell me, if you have a son and daughter, why were you trying to seduce a man who's already married to someone else? What kind of example are you setting for them?"
Xiao Wu's mouth opened, but no words came out. She looked utterly speechless. Her lips trembled as she whispered,
"I… I thought you were dead…" Her voice grew smaller and smaller until it almost disappeared.
Su Jiyai let out a short laugh. "Ungrateful, I could've understood," she said coldly.
"But this level of shamelessness? That deserves a special certificate. Do you even remember how much I sacrificed for this world? Even if I died, shouldn't my husband at least mourn for three years? Yet here you are, not even three years later, already trying to take my place."
Hearing that, Xiao Wu's face twisted in guilt. She clenched her fists and bowed her head low to the ground.
"I'm sorry… I'm sorry… please forgive me…"
Su Jiyai didn't even look at her. She turned to Qin Feng.
"Even if we kick her out, she can still live somewhere else, right? I just don't want her in my state anymore."
Qin Feng smiled faintly and ended the call. "I've already talked to the guards. They'll be here soon. She'll be removed and permanently banned."
Xiao Wu's eyes widened in terror. "Please! Don't... !" she cried, struggling to get up.
But before she could run, the guards arrived. They grabbed her firmly by the arms and started escorting her away despite her desperate pleas.
Watching her being dragged off, Su Jiyai raised an eyebrow.
'So these guards were following us the whole time?' she thought, then glanced at Qin Feng and gave him a thumbs-up. Qin Feng smiled back, amused.
At the same time, several women who had come to the charity event hoping to flirt with Qin Feng quickly stepped back.
They now understood... Su Jiyai was ruthless, powerful, and very much alive. To flirt with Qin Feng in front of her would be nothing short of a death wish.
After all, this was Boss Su... the woman who had once helped humanity change the entire map of the world, who had fought against the zombie virus and won. No one dared to disrespect her. Everyone respected Boss Su.
Su Jiyai and Qin Feng then entered the charity hall together. Inside, the host and director of the charity house began calling out names, honoring everyone who had contributed. One by one, people went up to the stage to receive their awards and applause.
But Su Jiyai's name wasn't called until the very end. Finally, the director stood up, holding back tears, and said, "The final appreciation goes to the person who has donated the most... Su Jiyai."
Everyone turned to look at her.
The director continued tearfully,
"Because of Su Jiyai's generosity, so many young lives have found shelter and education. This orphanage has grown into something as grand as a mansion. The youth here have hope again, and it's all thanks to her. She has changed the future for these children and, in her own way, helped change the world."
The director looked directly at Su Jiyai.
"I wish that in all her future lives, Su Jiyai's every wish will come true. She has already done so much for others that she should never again have to suffer or struggle."
Everyone stood and clapped, their applause echoing through the hall. Su Jiyai smiled warmly, then turned to Qin Feng before walking toward the stage.
"I'd like to say a few words," she said softly.
The director, her hands trembling slightly, handed her the microphone.
Su Jiyai took it, looked at the audience... hundreds of faces, most of them children who were sponsored through her donations... and took a deep breath.
"Yes," she said with a small smile, "the money was donated by me. But it was my husband who managed everything. Without him, none of this would've been possible."
The audience erupted into applause. Some people even whistled.
Su Jiyai laughed a little, then continued,
"I know that life ahead will be difficult. You'll face problems, sometimes more than you can imagine. But when that happens, I want you to remember... your freedom today was earned by those who fought hard for it. Many people gave their lives so you could have peace. Don't waste it. Use this peace to work hard, to learn, to become better. And when you succeed, give back to the community that raised you."
The children nodded eagerly.
"I don't need you to repay me," Su Jiyai said with a soft smile.
"But if someday you're able to sponsor even one child, I'll be truly touched. Just one child... that's all it takes to keep this chain of kindness going. If each of you helps one person, soon no one will have to live in misery again."
The children started clapping and cheering loudly. Some even whistled in excitement. Su Jiyai smiled, her heart full. She turned to look at Qin Feng.
"I also want to acknowledge my husband again," she said proudly. "While I was away, he managed everything all by himself. So remember, it's not just me who contributed... it was Qin Feng too."
The crowd burst into even louder applause. Qin Feng smiled shyly, looking both embarrassed and proud.
Then Su Jiyai raised her voice a little and said playfully, "And since my husband is always so insecure, I'll say this in front of everyone... I love my husband!"
The hall went silent for a second, then erupted in laughter and cheers.
Qin Feng's face turned red, and he closed his eyes in embarrassment, though a big smile spread across his lips.
From the side, Tyler and Selena rolled their eyes dramatically, but deep inside, they were both envious.
Su Jiyai turned toward them.
"I'm also here to talk about my two children... Tyler and Selena," she said warmly. "I know I hardly had time to spend with them before. But from now on, I promise I'll give them all the time I have."
Everyone turned to look at the two kids, who modestly waved their hands. But their faces were glowing with joy, grins stretching from ear to ear.
