Chapter 144 Declaration of War.
Chapter 144 Declaration of War.
Lillith tried to get up, but her body had given up on her and couldn't take another beating from Mykel. The only ones who were still up were the original five people from the beginning, Elena, Luciel, Aurea, Jeanne, and Beldathiel. The others couldn't even move the tip of their fingers because of exhaustion.
Amaryllis watched in the distance and she realized that she couldn't win against Mykel even if she used everything she got. She had analyzed the outcome and the difference in power between Mykel with the others.
Currently, Jeanne was at forty-eight percent of Mykel's power, and that was the maximum limit of her power. Aurea was at thirty-five percent of Mykel's power, but she could become stronger if she was given time. She could surpass Jeanne if she mastered her skill, and that also applied to Luciel who was currently at thirty percent of Mykel's power.
Beldathiel was currently at the top with fifty-two percent of Mykel's power. Her [Inertia] skill was still growing and it grew rapidly, not to mention Beldathiel's way of thinking that was out of the box. It felt like she could keep up with Mykel's growth.
Elena was supposed to be unbeatable, but she was currently at thirty percent of Mykel's power. She didn't want to get another power, and it was what she wanted, so Amaryllis respected her decision. She was no longer invincible compared to the others, and not to mention that she hadn't received a new power from Amaryllis.
Everyone else was currently at ten up to twenty percent of Mykel's power, but that was because they hadn't mastered their new skills. Ten percent of Mykel's current power was enough to single-handedly annihilate the Gods of Earth based on Amaryllis analysis.
"How long have we been here?" Mykel asked Amaryllis.
"Three months of the void realm which is a year in other realms, and three days in the real world," Amaryllis answered.
"Let's head back. We have enough training, and I want to know what's going on out there," Mykel said as he deactivated the [True Daemon] skill and hid his massive wings.
Everyone was teleported back to headquarters, but when Mykel was about to follow them, he realized Elena was standing still in the distance. She was staring at the destroyed planets and stars in the distance because of their training. In her eyes, they looked beautiful, and how she was mesmerized by them.
Mykel approached her and thought she was feeling down, but when he tried to read her feelings, she was calm and relaxed. He wanted to put his hand on her head, but he realized that he should treat her differently. He then stood beside her and stared at what she was staring at and enjoyed the silence.
"You achieved the impossible once again," Elena said as she watched the star explode in the distance. "Have you become as strong as The Lord?" Elena asked as she looked at Mykel.
"It was better than I expected. They still need time to understand their new skills, and I'll let them play with them a little bit longer," Mykel answered as he sat on the sofa.
Lyneth and Edith didn't join the spar since their skills didn't need them to train for it. Lyneth was given [Devotion] skill which made her as strong as the person he devoted to. In her case, since Mykel's power was impossible to attain, she only got thirty percent of his power. Discover exclusive tales on empire
Edith was given the [Providence] skill that made her existence loved by nature and other living beings. The world around her would protect her at all costs, and she could share it with other people. Not only that, she had become mother Earth, and she could control any events of nature.
"We lost all connection to the outside world now. We are on our own, and they threatened everyone in the United States that whoever stayed will be seen as an enemy of the world," Lyneth said as she showed the declaration of war that had been approved by all countries that still existed. "Of course, they still want to give us a second chance for one last time. They will take back the declaration of war if we handed ourselves to them and gave them all of our assets," Lyneth continued.
"How nice of them, but I don't need their kindness," Mykel said as he signed the document and accepted the war. "Also, is that why the city looks so dead now?" Mykel asked as he looked at the empty streets from the glass wall.
"Only a few that stayed because they believe it's safer here than out there. This whole building, there are only a few dozen of people that still want to work for us," Lyneth answered as she turned on the TV. "Also, this has been on the news for the past three days," Lyneth pointed at the TV with the remote in her hand.
Mykel looked at the world conference with representatives of each guild around the world. They had decided to work together to close portals around the world by clearing them. Since it was the Virtue Guild who had achieved it other than the Rebirth Guild that cleared a portal, they decided to choose the Virtue Guild as the leader.
"That man," Mykel said as he looked at the slick black-haired man standing next to Sasha. "Who's that?" Mykel asked.
"Eric Ulf, the new Redshield Guild guildmaster. The name sounds like he's from Germany," Lyneth answered. "They called him the Lone Wolf because he single-handedly annihilated thousands of demons with his powerful magic," Lyneth added.
"Any background that you got about him?" Mykel asked.
"None, but based on the information that I got, he was supposed to be a close friend of Sasha," Lyneth answered as she looked at Mykel.
"Sasha doesn't have close friends, not even one," Mykel answered as he looked at Eric. "I think I know who that man is," Mykel said.
