Chapter 185 Choose your poison.
Lucifer laughed as hard as he could and glared at Mykel with anger, excitement, and frustration. He suddenly turned into ashes and appeared right in front of Mykel, and the big hole in his chest had disappeared. Mykel was a bit surprised when he saw Lucifer could heal the wound even though that wound was absolute.
"Do you think I would plan another war without preparation? Without learning my lessons?" Lucifer asked as he raised his eyebrows. "I have found a way to defeat him and become strong enough to fight him. That power won't be enough to kill me," Lucifer pointed out.
Lucifer spread his wings and started to float above the ground with the ashes that covered his surroundings. Mykel was suspicious about the ashes and what Lucifer was planning to do, but he didn't want to make a rash decision.
"As careful as you always be. I admire your shrewdness. If you attack me now, you will lose because what I'm preparing right now should be enough to even hurt him," Lucifer said as the ashes thickened. "I can't wait to fight you with everything I got, and this was a perfect chance to see how strong you have become," Lucifer continued, keeping the ashes floating and circling him.
"Say, why don't we work together? Just like old times," Lucifer asked with a mischievous smile.Nôv(el)B\\jnn
"You want to work with me? Beg on your knees," Mykel answered without showing any fear even though the ashes started to surround him.
"Why don't you beg on your knees? I have Sasha in my grasp, and I can kill her with just a snap of my fingers," Lucifer asked again and landed right in front of Mykel.
"Go ahead, kill her. I bet the Caveat Scroll will prevent you from doing that. After all, he could read you like an open book," Mykel answered with a smirk.
Lucifer twitched his eyebrows because he was surprised that Mykel knew about the Caveat Scroll. Nobody should know about the scroll, not even the Gods, demons, or angels except the Archangels and The Lord himself.
"Looking at your reaction looks like you still haven't done anything about that. I might buy it if I didn't know about the scroll," Mykel said. "And the funny thing is. You have been busy playing with me that you have forgotten about her and with whom she's with right now," Mykel pointed out.
Lucifer was so excited about the fight with Mykel that he had forgotten about Sasha. He could see Sasha was with Amaryllis, and she was being protected by her. He knew about Amaryllis and he was worried that Sasha would be taken from him.
"What choice will you make? We can continue the fun, take Sasha back with you, or you can save your friends," Mykel asked as he looked at Lucifer.
Lucifer turned his gaze toward Mykel and was confused by the last option he gave him. When he checked the situation in Australia, he was surprised when he saw the city was on fire. He used Lilith's eyes to see and he saw Elena standing in the middle of the road, facing all the Princes of Hell.
"What's more valuable for you right now I wonder. Your friends or Sasha?" Mykel asked with a smirk.
"Amy, how many populations this country has?" Elena asked.
"Twenty million," Amaryllis answered as she appeared right beside Elena.
"Let's erase most of them and leave a few behind. I want them to struggle to survive," Elena said as she looked around and saw people hiding in the buildings, watching her in fear.
Amaryllis nodded and followed Elena from behind as she watched Elena erase the lives around her. Explore stories at empire
Mykel sat down and looked at the whole mess, and he could feel numbness in his whole body after being shrouded in the ashes. He wondered what kind of power Lucifer had that was capable of fighting The Lord and defeating him. He was thinking about Lucifer and wanted to know what he knew because that might help him.
Amaryllis and Sasha landed behind Mykel, one was excited about the battle, and one was frightened by it. They both walked to the front to check on Mykel, and they both were relieved that he was fine.
"Is he gone?" Sasha asked as she looked around anxiously.
"He's gone, and he won't be coming back for quite some time," Mykel nodded as he checked his pocket and noticed the pack of cigarettes was gone.
Amaryllis smiled and pulled out one from thin air and gave it to Mykel since she knew what he was looking for.
"I'm sorry that I brought him here and the beautiful city that you created was destroyed because of me," Sasha said and hid her face by lowering her head.
"You said that I haven't changed, but you're still as timid as I remembered," Mykel said as he stood up and approached Sasha. "It can be rebuilt, and I gained a lot of things from this as well, so it was a fair trade," Mykel pointed out.
When Mykel lit his cigarette, he could see a shadow descend right behind Sasha. He saw Uriel with a book in her hand and an angered expression. The moment Sasha turned around to look at what it was, Uriel choked her and lifted her up.
"Sasha Ferdinand, what have you done!" Uriel yelled. "You sold The Lord's disciples! Your deeds are unforgivable! Now you have to take the punishment for your sins!" Uriel continued as the sun started to beam Sasha's face and burned her skin.
Mykel and Amaryllis only watched from the side and let Uriel have her moment since they had no idea what was happening.
