Chapter 256 Love.
Chapter 256 Love.
"How long have we been away?" Mykel asked Amaryllis after they all came back to the Empyrean World.
"We're only away for more than a hundred years in that reality, and we have been away for..." Amaryllis paused and she looked shocked. "We only have been away for a year here," Amaryllis answered.
"That's given since we were inside a world of another world," Mykel pointed out as he nodded with understanding. "So I believe, in a few months, Little Mykel would reach to where we are right now," Mykel continued.
"Should I keep observing them using my clone and report it back to you once he finds out about The Lord's origin?" Amaryllis asked.
"Yes, but make sure you don't get caught," Mykel said.
Amaryllis nodded and then brought her clone to her side since the one who could open the portal was Mykel. She then sent her clone to where Little Mykel was and observed him from a distance.
"You possess the power of creation now. What are you going to do with it after you achieve your goal?" Nal asked as she sat down and grabbed the wine bottle on the table.
"For now we wait because we are going to see Little Mykel once he found The Lord's origin," Mykel answered. "The power inside me has been growing endlessly, and I believe I'm capable of creating myself from nothing like what he did to himself, but I'm not going to do that," Mykel continued.
"What are you going to do then?" Odin asked.
"Well, I'll need Little Mykel's help for the next move," Mykel answered as he cracked his neck. "We just finished a long journey, just take your time to rest. We will talk about this again when the time comes," Mykel said as he walked to the cabin.
Mykel couldn't get a single rest because he felt an existential crisis and realized how impactful to create a paradox. He could be called an omnipotent being, but the fact that it took a toll on his mind made him realize that he was still no match for The Lord.
"You said it yourself for us to rest, but why are you here thinking about the problem on your own?" Elena asked as she put her hand on Mykel's forehead and looked at him lying on the bed with his eyes closed. "I might not be the best thinker, but I know what you're thinking," Elena added as she lay down next to him.
"You haven't slept for years, you should get some now because there's nothing better to do but to let your big brain rest," Elena said.
Mykel chuckled and nodded his head in agreement.
Elena watched Mykel sleep, and she looked at how peaceful his face was. She slowly leaned in and gave him a kiss on the cheek, but when she was about to kiss him on the lips, Lyneth came in.
Jeanne looked at Aurea and understood why Aurea said that and then she approached her with her arms crossed.
"It was you who proposed that to her, wasn't it? I hope she's not telling the truth because you'd be a dead woman if she did," Jeanne said.
"I know. I went too far I guess," Aurea sighed as she sat under the tree. "I guess it's a good day to die," Aurea said jokingly.
Mykel landed on the furthest island and those two were right behind him. He turned around and looked at them who started to realize what they had just done to each other was wrong. It became awkward, but that wasn't their concern, their concern was Mykel who stared at them coldly.
"Have I ever taught you to harm your own mother, Elena?" Mykel asked. "When I saw you put your hand on her neck, it looked like you were ready to kill her," Mykel pointed out.
"I was wrong, and I want to apologize to mother for what I did," Elena said and didn't dare to look Mykel's eyes.
"And what about you, Lyn? Is there a reason why Elena shouldn't be with me?" Mykel asked with his eyebrows raised. "Because you think it's wrong? But the Gods did that for as long as they can remember. Because it's taboo? Why is it taboo? Gods don't think it's something taboo. Is it a sin? Who'll punish her for what that sin? The Lord?" Mykel asked again.
"She's our daughter," Lyneth answered and frowned.
"I know," Mykel nodded his head and he didn't hesitate. "I love her like how I love you," Mykel added.
Elena was surprised that Mykel didn't say he was forced, and that he didn't tell Lyenth the truth about her attempt to kill herself twice. But she didn't want to take that for granted and so she approached Lyneth.
"Mother, I love Mykel and I don't want to be with anyone else. I did force my way in by trying to kill myself in front of him because he didn't want it," Elena explained. "If I want to live for eternity, I want to be with someone I love, and that person is him. I would rather die than be alone with nobody to love," Elena continued as she grabbed Lyneth's hand.
"I'm sorry for being a disappointment and for what I did earlier, but can I also love the man that you love, mother?" Elena asked and stared Lyneth in the eyes. "I'll hold my feelings until you're okay with it no matter how long it will take," Elena said.
Lyneth furrowed her eyebrows as she exhaled deeply with her eyes closed.
"You're still my baby no matter how big and old you are, so give me some time to think about it," Lyneth gently smiled and stroked Elena's hair to see how beautiful Elena had become. "I hope Little Sasha won't make the same choice as you," Lyneth continued and gently pinched Elena's cheeks.
"I hope so too," Mykel scoffed and smiled.
Lyneth and Elena chuckled as they rested their heads on each other.
