Chapter 404 Changing the past.
Chapter 404 Changing the past.
"So I'm in a novel world, my own novel..." Mykel furrowed his eyebrows and tried to digest all the information that Lyneth gave him. "So you're Lyneth Leonis, if I remember correctly," he looked Lyneth in the eyes, and never thought she was prettier than his imagination.
Mykel still didn't understand the big picture as to why he was in his novel world and why Lyneth knew he was coming. He was suspicious of Lyneth because she appeared out of nowhere and gave that information immediately. The most suspicious part was the fact she knew who he was even though she shouldn't know about him as her creator.
He still couldn't believe the people who walked around him in the park were all characters from the novel. He had so many questions in his head, but then a system appeared in front of him, the same prompt where the system told him that he was the creator of the novel world. He put that aside because he had a more important thing to think about, and that was Lyneth, and what kind of a being she was.
"I know you so well, Mykel. We have been together for hundreds of years, and I can tell when you don't trust someone fully..." Lyneth paused to smile after she looked at Mykel's expression. "You must be thinking who I am, and if I'm really just a character from your novel. I am your Lyneth and will always be yours, and I can't tell you much because this is just the beginning of your hardship and multiple challenges that you will face," she continued.
"I'm not someone who brought you here, and I'm not someone who's manipulating your life. I'm not a being that could be called a God nor a being that will put you in a difficult situation. I'm just someone who came here to see you and warn you that the future that awaits you is a grim one," Lyneth looked sad when she remembered Mykel had to go through everything on his own.
"I won't be here to help you out or give you an answer to every question that you have in mind. Once you have achieved your goal here, I'll meet you again and tell you what I know," Lyneth pointed out as she looked at Mykel who was sitting beside her on the bench in the park. "You can do whatever you want in this world, and I'm not going to judge you for what you're going to do. But, if you saw me, the me in this world, please love her just like how you love me," she showed her gentle and genuine smile that filled with happiness and sadness at the same time.
Mykel didn't show any expression to everything that Lyneth had said, and that made Jeanne and the others who watched him from across the walking trail. Even with that much information, he was hard to crack because of how calm he was and how he took the revelation so calmly.
Lyneth stood up after she knew there was nothing else to say to Mykel, and the fact that Mykel didn't ask anything of her made her feel relieved and sad at the same time. She was relieved because Mykel didn't pry about who she was and why she gave a warning to him, and she was sad that he didn't seem to trust her at all and didn't show any interest in what she had just said.
"Can I ask you one question?" Mykel asked calmly.
"Yes, but I can't guarantee that I will answer that question for you," Lyneth turned around to look at Mykel.
"Did you come from the future?" Mykel asked.
"Now that we all can enter the memory and manipulate the past, I have to work on Aevia's power that I stole earlier," Amaryllis said as she looked at her hands. "This might take a while, but I have all the time to waste," she continued.
"I have put a gift inside every one of you here when I modified the power within your body. I want you guys to check it out and master it since it's going to be useful not only for yourself but for everyone as well," Amaryllis pointed out as she showed a window screen in front of everyone except for Sasha and Luciel. "I know it's going to take a while, and it's been ages since all of you have used your muscles. Why don't you guys use your time to spar and prepare yourself?" She raised her eyebrows and looked at Aurea and Jeanne.
Amaryllis opened a portal to the Empyrean World so they could practice for as long as they wanted since the time difference was quite big. The people in the park tried to take a video of what they were seeing, but they were blinded temporarily and couldn't move their muscles. The moment they opened their eyes, their memories of what they saw were erased since Amaryllis was the original system of the novel world.
"Amaryllis, before you go, I think this might be the perfect time to talk about this," Luciel said after she watched Jeanne and the others leave. "Do you remember what I saw back in that place where I stole the essences?" She asked and looked at Amaryllis who was about to leave.
"Yes, what do you want to talk about?" Amaryllis raised her eyebrows.
"Do you think we can use them to help us? Or do something about them that could help us in a way since you possess Aevia's power now. Why don't you go and check it out and see if it would be useful for us?' Luciel explained.
Amaryllis realized what Luciel said was true, and that it would be a great addition to her plan. Enjoy new stories from My Virtual Library Empire
"I'll check that later, thank you for telling me this, Lucy," Amaryllis smiled at Luciel and then left.
Luciel was staring at the novel world from above, and then Beldathiel came back and wrapped her arms around her neck from behind. She was startled because she thought Beldathiel had left with the others.
"As I have promised, there's something I want you to see. Shall we get going now?" Beldathiel tilted her head to look at Luciel's expression.
"Of course, lead the way," Luciel smiled and held Beldathiel's arms.
