Chapter 20 First Encounter with the Savior 2
Draco's measurements were quickly taken; next up was Landric.
Landric walked up to Mrs. Malkin, who was instantly stunned. She had never seen such a beautiful child, like a gift from the gods, yet possessing an alluring charm, which was suppressed by his cold gaze.
Draco noticed Madam Malkin's unusual behavior and was naturally displeased; anger began to simmer in his eyes. Landric also keenly sensed Draco's unhappiness.
Draco: "Mrs. Malkin, I think you can take Rand's measurements, right?"
The sound of clenched teeth brought Madam Malkin back to her senses, but it also drew the attention of Lucius and Narcissa.
As Draco's parents, they know their child's character all too well. Isn't this child a little too possessive of Landric?
However, considering that Draco had always been like this since childhood, the couple didn't think too much about it.
Mrs. Malkin: "Yes, yes, I'm so sorry, Mr. Malfoy, I'll begin taking your brother's measurements right away."
Landric looked at what was happening before him and gave Draco a helpless smile.
The moment Draco saw Landric's smile, all his anger vanished.
Narcissa: "..." Who understands, family? This son is no longer safe.
Landric walked up to Madam Malkin, and the ruler began to traverse her body. However, because of Draco's fiery glare, the ruler was much more restrained and remained relatively disciplined.
After Landric took the measurements
Narcissa spoke up: "My dear little dragon, shall your father and I go and buy the other things you need first? You two wait here until the robes are finished."
Draco readily agreed when he heard that he would have time to be alone with Landric: "Okay, Mom, we will."
Narcissa left arm-in-arm with Lucius, and Draco walked over to Landric, his ears red, and chatted casually with him, thoroughly enjoying the moment.
But this time was clearly short-lived. The gears of the plot began to turn, and the bell on Madam Malkin's door rang again. A thin, ragged child entered. His attire, combined with his gaunt face, significantly diminished his good looks, but his bright, shining green eyes were quite striking. This was Landric's first impression of Harry Potter.
Draco, who was standing nearby, naturally noticed the child as well, but this time Draco didn't have the desire to talk to him as he did in the original story. Instead, he was annoyed that the child's presence had stolen Landric's attention.
Harry Potts, who was being stared at by Landric, immediately noticed Landric as well. Unsurprisingly, he was another child who was amazed, and his little face instantly turned red, making Draco want to bite him to death.
Considering Landric's presence, Draco didn't want to get angry, but he also didn't want Landric to speak to him, so he spoke first: "Are you a new student at Hogwarts?"
Harry: "Huh? Oh, yes."
Draco: "I am Malfoy, Draco Malfoy. This is Landric Rozier, he is my brother."
Draco frowned at the blank look on Harry Potter's face. "Don't you know the Malfoy family? Are you a Muggle?"
Harry Potter: "Mangled?"
Draco: "So, both your parents are Muggles. Oh, okay, a Muggle is someone who doesn't have magic." Draco's disdain was palpable.
Harry Potter said cautiously, "I don't think so. My parents used magic, but they're both dead."
Hearing this, Draco's expression softened somewhat. He didn't want to talk to a Muggle, but he still looked down on Harry Potter—just an orphan.
"Draco, our robes are ready," Landric interjected, interrupting Draco's attempt to continue.
Harry Potter blushed and looked at Landric again after Landric spoke.
Just then, a large man walked in, and Harry Potter excitedly shouted at him, "Hey, Hagrid, I'm here!"
Draco frowned again upon hearing this: "I've heard of him, a servant of Hogwarts, Dumbledore's lackey."
Draco had barely finished speaking when Harry Potter retorted, "He's not like that. He's my friend."
Draco: "Ha, friend."
Harry Potter glared at Draco, having completely lost any goodwill towards him.
Landric: "My dear little dragon, Godfather and Godmother are back. I think we should go."
Draco: "Yes, brother, let's go."
Draco brought up their robes, paid for them, and followed Landric towards their parents outside the shop.
Harry Potter: "Hagrid, please don't take what that bastard said to heart."
Hagrid: "Harry, I won't take it to heart, Harry, but Harry, you should stay away from that kid from now on. Every member of the Malfoy family is a Death Eater, a lackey of Boa Hancock."
Harry Potter: "What about the Rozier family?"
Hagrid: "Well, it's best not to get too close. Although the Rozier family is neutral, they're very close to the Malfoy family."
Harry was a little disappointed. He really liked the handsome boy; the moment he saw him, he felt his heart beat faster.
