fenrir was forced to throw his essence against the primal's essence to expel it from his body. that required both attention and energy – or essence – and wasted precious seconds.

jormungandr and hel weren't in a good position either. their situation was not as bad as their brother's, but it was only a matter of time before more problems arose. jormungandr blocked more than one hundred essence spears with his body. he was forced to use the power authority through his scales, which was enough to block the incoming attacks.
