Destroying My Own World

Chapter 383 Uncertainty.

Chapter 383 Uncertainty.

Aurea groaned weakly as she slowly opened her eyes, but she couldn't move her arms. When she looked down on her body, she realized her whole body had been turned to crisp. She lost her left arm, half of her right arm, and both of her legs from the explosion. Continue your saga on My Virtual Library Empire

She never thought she could survive from that and she was glad that her body could withstand it. But suddenly she heard a sword slashing in the distance and a faint conversation between a man's voice and Luciel's voice. When she looked to her left, she was shocked when she saw Luciel killing Lillith by stabbing her sword right into Lillith's chest.

She groaned and mumbled in anger and disbelief at the same time when she saw Luciel alive and unharmed. She wanted to fight her and stop her from killing others because she cared about some of them who had accepted her for who she was.

While she struggled to move her body, she noticed that both Luciel and Mykel were staring at her from the distance. She was petrified when they both decided to approach her, especially with the sword in Luciel's hand and Lillith's body that she dragged on the other hand.

"As expected of my sister..." Luciel said as she looked down at Aurea who tried to crawl. "She survived that even though she was the closest to the explosion," she was amazed by Aurea's body because she almost lost her life even though she was far away from the explosion.

"Are you going to let her live?" Mykel asked and stared down at Aurea who was furious and wanted to kill both of them by the way she glared at him and Luciel.

"Not a chance..." Luciel tossed Lillith's body on top of Aurea's body. "She will meet with her sisters and I hope she will pay for what she did," she swung her sword and stabbed both Aurea and Lillith in the head and skewered them with her sword.

Mykel looked at Aurea's expression before she died, and then grabbed both Lillith's and Aurea's life essences after Luciel took their power. Those two were the last ones excluding Jeanne and Edith who were still alive.

Luciel turned around and looked at Jeanne in the far distance, as small as a dot from her perspective. She then blinked in and appeared right in front of her with the sword in her hand ready to behead her.

"Any last word?" Luciel rested the tip of the blade on Jeanne's left shoulder.

"Did you know that the Mother died?" Jeanne asked as she used her sword to support her weak body.

"So? I do respect her, but I don't have any sympathy toward her if something happened to her," Luciel put the tip of the blade on Jeanne's throat. "Your time is about to end and yet you still think of others. How noble, for someone who brought down the one that you should respect as the ruler," she continued.

Jeanne had nothing to say because she had nobody else to give her a reason to live. She accepted her defeat by raising her head, showing her neck to Luciel, and surrendering to herself.

Luciel flicked her sword and Jeanne's head fell to the ground and rolled to her feet. Edith who was standing next to Jeanne was waiting for her turn since she had no power to fight Luciel.

"Don't worry, you won't feel a thing," Luciel looked at Edith and then swung her sword at Edith's neck.

Luciel took both Jeanne's and Edith's powers, and she finally managed to get all the powers of the Erves. It was unfortunate that she couldn't get Lyneth's power since it would be the most reliable power of them all. But she didn't complain because she already had a handful of power that she barely scraped the surface within her.

Mykel nodded his head and then opened a portal.

(In the Queen's palace)

"Your Majesty, I apologize for my rudeness, but please reconsider your situation," A woman in a suit looked at Elestria with a worried expression. "Your Majesty is already past the time to make an heir. The longer Your Majesty stays alone, the less it is for Your Majesty to be able to conceive," she explained.

"So you don't believe in her? Elysande and I have taught her to become a Queen of this kingdom. We both believed that she's capable and worthy to rule this kingdom," Elestria answered as she signed the documents. "Find me someone that you think they're better than her. Once you find it, I will reconsider it," she pointed out.

The woman knew that it was impossible to convince Elestria to find a partner and get married. Everyone had the same concerns and worries about the future of the kingdom where they wouldn't have a right heir for the throne. They didn't dare to say the child was a mere commoner, a girl who was found in a dark alley.

"Take these documents. I'm going to change my dress because Lady Melissa is coming to visit," Elestria said as she stood up.

Elestria went to her chamber and walked to the dressing table and sat on the chair. She looked at herself in the mirror and she noticed wrinkles started to appear around her eyes. She counted every single day for the past five years, waiting for Mykel to come back, but she started losing faith.

"Your Majesty!" A maid knocked on the door.

"What's the matter?" Elestria looked at the door with her eyebrows furrowed.

"Sir Alester is back!" The maid answered.

Elestria jolted from the chair, flipping it down to the ground as she ran out of the chamber. She didn't care about anything else but to go to the hall as soon as she could. On her way to the hall, she saw Elysande running in the hallway because she heard about it as well.

The moment they reached the hall, they saw Mykel staring at the hall that had changed. He was showing his back and didn't realize those two were already in the hall. When he turned around, he looked at them and smiled as he bowed his head to greet them.

"It's been a while, Your Highness, My Lady," Mykel said as he raised his head.

They both didn't say anything and ran toward him and hugged him so tightly. They couldn't believe that it was really him and they thought they were dreaming.

"How dare you make us wait for five years..." Elestria said as her arms trembled in joy on Mykel's chest.

"I kept my promise, Your Highness, so please forgive me," Mykel responded with a gentle smile.
