Chapter 409 Set and stone
Chapter 409 Set and stone
"What do you think? Do you think you can handle them?" Amaryllis crossed her arms and looked at Sasha.
"Where did you get these things?" Sasha was a bit shocked as she looked at the bodies that resembled Mykel's, but they were different from him. The things that looked the same as him were their bright yellow eyes and pale skin. "Are they alive? And why does my power resonate with them?" She slowly turned her head to look at Amaryllis.
Amaryllis brought Sasha to her place and showed her the bodies that she had retrieved from that space. She hadn't explained anything to Sasha because she wanted Sasha to look at them first before she explained it to her. She wanted to make sure that Sasha and those beings possessed the same power before she decided to ask Sasha to use them.
"You can say that these bodies are Mykel's prototype, failed products before Aevia managed to perfect them and became Mykel. So to put it simply, they're Mykel's ancestors, but their powers had been removed from them and they're nothing but empty shells," Amaryllis explained as she stood beside one of the bodies to show Sasha that the body was lifeless.
"If she took their powers, then why do these bodies still release the power from their bodies?" Sasha asked and looked at one of the prototypes from up close.
"Let's put it like a meat being cooked. Even after you take the meat from the pan, you can still smell the smell of meat from the pan because the remaining fat is still on the pan. It's exactly like that and even with only the remaining power that lingers on these bodies, they're still quite capable of devouring a universe," Amaryllis answered.
Sasha hummed and looked at dozens of bodies that were displayed by Amaryllis, floating above the ground like statues. She hadn't tried to manipulate the power within those bodies nor used hers to manipulate the bodies.
"What do you want me to do with these?" Sasha asked.
"Make them yours, control them, nurture them, turn them into your own army," Amaryllis answered like it wasn't a big deal.
"What?!" Sasha stared at Amaryllis in disbelief. "What am I going to do with these? What if I lost control over them and turned them into something we would regret?" She asked and couldn't imagine how dangerous it was to use those bodies and let those bodies regain their power.
"Mykel could do it, and you should be able to do it as well since you have mastered the power of the abyss, no?" Amaryllis raised her eyebrows and looked at Sasha. "Also I'll make sure that these bodies will follow your command by modifying their nature. Their insatiable for annihilation will be more bearable for them to endure," she added.
"Bearable? Not erase it entirely?" Sasha furrowed her eyebrows with a confused look.
"It's alright, and it's a good thing that they're capable of using their power, but one thing that bothers me though," Amaryllis responded as she observed them. "Their power is a mess, and as you can see some of them overwhelm the others. The older version of them could barely control their power and couldn't use it properly," she pointed out.
"Yes, I can feel it as well. There's even one that couldn't use it at all as if they're not used to controlling the power since they have been living in the power rather than controlling it," Sasha nodded in agreement. "But that won't be a problem since I can try and train them all. I know how the power works and how to teach them to control it. So, can you lend me a place where I can use to do that?" She looked at Amaryllis.
Amaryllis smiled and then snapped her fingers, opening a portal for Sasha. She then pointed at it without having to say anything, and so Sasha and her army entered the portal.
Amaryllis thought about the preparation and she believed she had done all the things they would need. There was nothing else she could do or at least as far as she knew, and so she focused on Aevia's power and analyzed it thoroughly once again. But, when she was about to analyze it, Lyneth came to her space where nobody should know and could access it without her permission.
"How did you get here? Nobody should be able to enter this place," Amaryllis looked confused.
"Is it really surprising even though you know the power that I have?" Lyneth asked back and looked at how weird the space she was walking on. A place where it had nothing but moving and floating numbers, letters, symbols, and other things that she didn't know what those were. "Also, it's not important right now. The reason why I came here is because I want to show you something," she pointed out and looked at Amaryllis holding the ball of light.
Before Amaryllis could open her mouth and ask what Lyneth wanted to show her, she saw the space behind Lyneth start to distort. She saw countless realms appearing behind Lyneth, and some of them were the realms that she had created for herself. But then she was shocked when she saw the space where Aevia, Mykel, and Elena were.
"Wait... is that..." Amaryllis looked at Elena curled on the ground while Mykel was protecting her from Aevia.
"They're going to be fine, but that's not why I'm here," Lyneth said and she didn't need to turn around to look at the realms. "This is what I want you to see. You were there back there, didn't you?" She asked as she showed the realm in which Aevia was shackled and chained to the clock.
"Yes, I was..." Amaryllis nodded her head. "Why do you ask?" She looked at Lyneth.
"I want to bring her here, and I want to read all the memories she has," Lyneth answered as she turned around. "After we got it, we kill her and get rid of her," she added.
Amaryllis looked at Lyneth's cold expression that she had never seen before. The coldness of Lyneth's expression was similar to Mykel's and how it oozed such pressure like Mykel's.
