Chapter 416 Determined.
Mykel felt the surge inside his body and it rapidly grew that he couldn't control it anymore. He looked at his hands and they slowly turned into a black thick cloud and devoured everything around him. He wasn't panicking, but he was anxious about the power that he couldn't control and how his mind and consciousness were slowly being taken over by something.

Jeanne and the others who saw the thick black clouds forming near the cabin hurriedly went there to check. They were shocked when they saw Mykel was being consumed by the clouds and how he just stood there like a statue.
"This is your test," Sasha said as she looked at the abyss in front of her. "Feel it, understand it, and lastly overcome it. If you can't do that much, I'm afraid you should give up and accept your fate," she added.
Sasha covered Mykel's surroundings with her abyss, protecting everyone from his power that went out of control. She then looked at Jeanne and the others who were petrified by what they saw, and they didn't like it at all.
"It's time," Jeanne looked at her other self in front of her. "Try and defeat him with the power you have. It's going to be hard, but if you can't survive in there, don't hope you can be any of help," she pointed out.
"What do you want me to do? It's impossible and you know it. What are you trying to do?" Jeanne's other self asked and looked at Jeanne.
"Feel the despair..." Jeanne answered with a cold expression. "You will learn and experience your greatest fear. It's the only thing that matters right now for you. After that, come to me and I'll teach you everything," she continued.
Jeanne's other self looked at the terrifying dome of thick black clouds that made her whole body tremble. She was petrified by just staring at it, and she wondered how dangerous it would be if she got inside it. But, if she didn't do it, she would follow the same fate that was predetermined by Aevia.
"Mykel embraced his fear, and you should too," Jeanne looked at her other self.
"What will happen if I die in there?" Jeanne's other self asked as she clenched her fists to stop her trembling hands.
"You don't want to know, and it would be wise to not die in there," Jeanne answered and her warning made her other self gulped nervously. "You have no other choice. Don't let Mykel down," she said.
Jeanne's other self grabbed her sword from thin air and then walked toward the abyss. When she was about to enter the abyss, Aurea grabbed her shoulder and made her look back. She saw everyone was behind her, prepared to face whatever was inside that dome and then she nodded her head.
"Me too, but we don't have a choice," Elena answered. "You felt it too, right? When she desperately wished us to help them. You should know how painful it would be if you were in her shoes," she looked at Lyneth's other self who sat beside her.
"I don't want to be like that, and I don't want to experience what she experienced," Lyneth's other self said. "I hate to see myself like that, and I wish that she could be with them again because I know if I lost you, I wouldn't want to live in a world where you're not there," she continued.
Elena looked at her and then looked at Lyneth and realized something that she had failed to understand. She never thought Lyneth's love for her was on par with how Lyneth's love for Mykel or even higher than that. She realized how immature she was for thinking about everything that should be about her. She realized that Lyneth had always been in the shadows behind Mykel's figure based on how she looked at them both.
She forgot that without Lyneth she wouldn't exist, and she underestimated or even ignored Lyneth's feelings. She had done nothing for Lyneth, and yet she had done everything for Mykel, making her feel guilty for how she treated Lyneth.
"I'll get some fresh air..." Elena stood up and she couldn't stand being with Lyneth because of the guilt.
Elena left the cabin and Lyneth noticed that even though she was focusing on the abyss in front of her. Lyneth could see how troubled Elena was, and so she decided to watch where Elena went and join her after.
"Is something bothering you?" Lyneth asked as she landed on an island where the thrones of the Celestial beings were.
"What are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to guide Jeanne and the others?" Elena asked without looking back to look at Lyneth. "I want to be alone, so leave me be," she pointed out.
"Amaryllis can be their guide, and I can use my power wherever I want," Lyneth answered as she walked past Elena. "You can tell me your problems, even if it's about your mother," she turned around and looked at Elena.
Elena didn't appreciate what Lyneth said to her as if Lyneth knew what was on her mind.
"I'm not your mother, but we feel the same thing, including the fact that you don't respect her feelings," Lyneth stared into Elena's eyes. "You're feeling guilty about it, don't you?" She leaned against the big throne behind her.
"What do you want from me?" Elena clenched her fists and glared at Lyneth.
"To find out what your feeling toward Mykel..." Lyneth stood up straight and approached Elena. "And the main reason is to discipline your attitude toward your mother," she stood in front of Elena and coldly stared at her. "Mykel has been so soft around you, and he's the only one who can deal with your power. So, knowing that I'm stronger than you right now, isn't this a perfect opportunity to do so?" She smiled.
